New Southerner (www.newsoutherner.com) is an online quarterly magazine of arts, alternative living and literature. An annual anthology of the magazine’s content appears in print and will be available for purchase at the event.

wwp-bwThe Writers Workshop Project (the-wwp.com), holds events and teaching workshops dedicated to helping writers create community, learn craft and workshop drafts. It was founded four years ago by Michael Jackman, a local writer and lecturer in writing at Indiana University Southeast. The organization also sponsors the Creative Cocktails media mixer.
gw-logoGlassworks (www.louisvilleglassworks.com) opened its doors in 1999, and was the brain child of glass artist Kenneth vonRoenn (Architectural Glass Art, Inc.) and developer Bill Weyland (City Properties Group). They sought to convert the old Snead Manufacturing building into a new multi-use facility that included a glass center, commercial real estate, and residential living. The glass center portion of Glassworks is now primarily owned and operated by vonRoenn’s daughter, Page von Roenn,  who is the 5th generation of the Architectural Glass Art studio (formerly Louisville Art Glass). Glassworks is the only facility of its kind in the country, bringing together an array of glass artists and galleries in one location and providing visitors with a rich portrayal of the magic, mystery and beauty of glass. For those who desire a more intimate experience, Glassworks offers ongoing classes, workshops and rents studio time.
